Lynda Brown: Impacting the Organisational System Through Coaching Personal Leadership

Photo of Lynda Brown Statistics show that when individuals start to look at their lives in a holistic way through various means including coaching they have a tendency to attempt to change things around them (The Covey organisation says that 1/3 of people who attend their leadership programs leave their present job within a period of 6 months of attending the program). In particular, individuals will often seek to change their working environment to better fit with their newly developed self concept. This will have an impact on the organisation in which they presently work as well as any organisation they move to. It is therefore important as both Coaches and Organisations that we have some understanding of the impact of coaching on the organisation as well as on the individual.

During this interactive workshop we will explore this dynamic relationship and will take away learning that can be incorporated into the coaching world as well as the organisational world. We will look at the evolution of the individual through the coaching relationship and then link this to the Organisational Development perspective using a systems based perspective. Whether you are a coach or part of an organisation that employs coaches this will be an interesting journey of discovery.
